I have always sensed an old time, cozy feel in downtown Ravenfell. Benjamin's mom calls it modern victorian. If there is such a thing. She also told us the homes and shops were here before they incorporated the town—residents simply moved in.
While many of the buildings maintain bay windows and canopies, the way the upper street of shops on main street overlooks the woods has always felt a bit too picturesque to me, to have simply moved in. Dark cobblestone steps and lanterns don't place themselves.
